I suppose I won’t be explicitly saying what I’m thankful for, but I’d just like to thank God for answering some of my prayers, no matter how brief they were, and even allowing some of my thoughts to come into fruition. The strange manner in which God grants me things when I don’t desire them so badly always amuses me. Nonetheless, thank you God. Now I’ve even more things to look forward too once my promos are over.
That said, since God’s been working, i should get down to serious business myself. I finally cleared my TOK presentation this afternoon after kick starting my promos with my Chinese language paper (YESSS). I told Jeremy my classmate who stayed back after school to do his presentation too, that TOK seemed like (well in a crude way..) constipation. For us (he shared the same sentiments), TOK brought an unwanted halt to our revision, which is so so crucial for us since the real deal of promos starts next Friday. Well at least now with TOK for this year out of the way, I have to finish my first Bio design report (was planning to do so by tonight, but looking at the time now…) before Friday, cos I’d really like to give all my attention to my promos.
I haven’t been making the best out of my time admittedly (again..). Watching television, new episodes online as the new series season kicks off, surfing the net reading up non-academic stuff…*bleh* It’s SO close to promos already, the countdown number is down to a single digit and yet here I am, still slacking like I still have a month or 2.
I really wanna prepare well for my exams and do well. If not, the blessings God’s just given me, will be wasted because of my lack of self-discipline and sense of urgency. Continue to help me God, for now, it’s to adopt the examination mentality, and just putting my energy into preparing for my exams. Oh and to put my energy into You everyday as well.
On this day, God wants you to know that
“every moment is an opportunity for you to be happy. You know how sometimes it seems that life is just throwing you one curved ball after another? Well, guess what, – you have a great way to respond! – you can use every opportunity, every single one, to be happy. Don’t just take a shower – feel into and receive pleasure from the water on your skin. Don’t just walk on the street – enjoy the fragrances of the trees and the flowers on your way. Don’t just drive your car – sing karaoke to your favorite radio station.”
