ACS (I) Festival of Arts 2010. Chinese Performing Arts Club: ‘Illusion‘. DanceVenia: ‘dreams = Hope + ?‘ It was an entertaining afternoon today :). The opening Chinese drums was booming enough to stir up the audience’s attention. The CPAC‘s drama production ‘Illusion‘ was showcased earlier this year, but only a segment of it. Watching the full drama today, i must say it was quite impressive :P. The acting was pretty good & it wasn’t boring at all, definitely when there was ample humour throughout the performance.
When it came to DanceVenia, it sure got the crowd going. I was surprised to see the setlist that most, if not all their numbers were from Glee. But i was even more surprised when the dancers eventually took to the stage. This was the 1st full dance performance i’ve ever watched. And my reaction after it was all over? “Wow”. Male dancers are quite strong you know, don’t just think they’re all pretty boys. Lifting up their female partners & ensuring that they are safe while elevated off the ground takes a lot of effort. All the numbers were great & i’m really glad i chose to go for this FoA performance this year 🙂
Oh yes, not forgetting the wonderful company i had today. Thanks Brenda (:
